I want to build my own Les Paul guitar. However, I want it with only ONE pickup right between the neck and the bridge, and a Floyd-Rose Whammy bridge. Where can I find an uncut body for cheap? Can I make my own body by buying wood at Home Depot (Would it have the same quality sound)? Could I take an existing Les Paul body and cut an indentation for the whammy bridge, install one pickup, and install a piece of wood in the other pickup whole?
